Get trained and certified as a doula, or accelerate your business and your advocacy, through this leading doula mentorship.
When doulas are well-trained, well-supported, and sustainably compensated, families have better births. Birth trauma decreases. Physiologic birth becomes possible. Advocacy actually works.
The IBP Accelerator is a four-month highly personal mentorship, with a year of ongoing learning and support. You need skills and systems, along with personalized care, to build and sustain your deepest impact.
The work you do inside this program ripples outward - for you, your business, your clients, and for the culture of birth we are committed to creating.

“IBP has helped me discover the golden era of my doula career! I’ve made huge strides in my business, my family life is stable and supported, and I feel so much love for this work that I didn’t realize was fading from my days as a new doula. I’m deeply grateful for Meredith and Alicia and my cohort.”

Together, we've attended births in more than thirty hospitals across thirteen years of practice. We're both board-certified patient advocates. Between us, we've run a multiple-six-figure solo doula practice, owned an agency, taught in academic and clinical settings, and trained hundreds of birth workers who are now changing what birth looks like in their communities.
We’ve become intentional birth pros, but we did not start out that way.
Our original 3-day doula trainings taught us how to give hip squeezes and how to delineate the “stages of labor.” They taught us not to speak to hospital staff, and told us to support our clients’ choices “no matter what.” For business advice, they referred us to a website that printed business cards.
You may know the rest of the story. We lived in dissonance for the first part of our careers, at first because we tried to follow that advice and found ourselves feeling helpless, undervalued, and ineffective. Later the dissonance came from slowly rejecting what we had been taught, and feeling like lone reeds in the doula world.
Then we found each other. And others! And we realized that we were on the right trail after all, because the trail was always ours to blaze.
We’re not synonymous. Alicia hates mint chocolate. Meredith hates olives. Our minds are wired very differently from each other, we speak and strategize differently—but get us together and (in the words of one friend) we are “a closed circuit.” This thing flows. You get the advantage of both of us, and of the unity between us too.
We have seen each other through the hardest challenges possible, from birth to death. We’ve stood at both of those gates together, and the result is a deep love of life and of each other. We want to welcome you into our story, and to be a part of yours.

As a new doula, IBP has given me the confidence and foundation to build a business that is true to myself and my values. What Alicia and Meredith have built is incredible, and I truly cherish the community I was welcomed into. I feel that I am a better wife, mother, and doula because of what I have learned. I can now show up for my clients with intention, strong advocacy skills, and trust in my work.

Intentional Birth Pro was quite literally the best money I’ve ever spent. It was deeply transformative on a personal and business level. I knew I loved birth work, and I knew I was nearing burn out. I am now excited to continue in this work, and have the confidence that I can do so sustainably, with a community of incredible birth workers cheering me on.

They helped me to dream bigger and make bigger goals, and gave me the accountability to make that happen. My income and business have grown tremendously and I am so, so thankful for Alicia and Meredith and this program!

The IBP Program was a complete game changer for me. The growth I experienced in just 12 weeks would have taken me over a year to reach on my own. Meredith and Alicia bring such depth of knowledge, experience, excellence, and generosity—and their leadership invites every participant to show up with the same. That’s what makes this program truly invaluable. I would highly recommend IBP to both new and seasoned doula alike.
